The 5th Nanobioanalytica and Testing Application Forum was successfully held

The 13th China International Nanotechnology Industry Expo (referred to as “Nanotech Expo®”), hosted by the China Micronanotechnology Society, the China International Science and Technology Cooperation Association, and the National Third-generation Semiconductor Technology Innovation Center (Suzhou), and organized by Suzhou NanoTech Development Co., Ltd, was grandly opened at the Suzhou International Expo Center from March 1st to 3rd, 2023. On March 2nd, the 5th Nanotech Expo Analysis and Testing Application Forum was held concurrently, attracting nearly 300 participants from the industry and academia, and receiving extensive attention from industry insiders.

The 13th China International Nanotechnology Industry Expo (NANO TECH 2023), hosted by the China Society of Wintech-Nano Technology, the China International Science and Technology Cooperation Association, and the National Third-Generation Semiconductor Technology Innovation Center (Suzhou), and organized by Suzhou Nano Science & Technology Development Co., Ltd., opened grandly at the Suzhou International Expo Center from March 1st to 3rd, 2023. On March 2nd, the 5th Nanotech Analytical Testing and Application Forum was held concurrently, attracting nearly 300 participants from industry and academia, and receiving wide attention from insiders.

The forum was jointly sponsored by Success Nanotech (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., the MEMS Branch of China Semiconductor Industry Association, and Suzhou Nano Science & Technology Development Co., Ltd., with co-sponsorship from Thermo Fisher Scientific, Hitachi High-Tech Science Corporation (Beijing), Carl Zeiss (Shanghai) Management Co., Ltd., Oxford Instruments (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., and Instrument Information Network. Eleven industry experts, including Dr. Ge Guanglu, researcher at the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology, Dr. Niu Yingxi, senior engineer of professor level at the Institute of Semiconductors, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Dr. Li Aiguo, deputy director of Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility, Dr. Luo Feng, Chair Professor at the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Nankai University, and Xie Jianyou, general manager of Hunan YUEMO Advanced Semiconductor Co., Ltd. (online), attended and delivered keynote speeches.

With the rapid iteration of semiconductor technology and the urgent need for independent innovation, the forum explored the development prospects and industry opportunities of the analysis and testing sub-track, showcased the latest developments in advanced process analysis technology and nanoscale detection technology standardization, and enhanced the innovation ability and international influence of the semiconductor analysis and testing sub-field.

At the meeting, Mr. Li Xiao min, Chairman of Wintech Nano, delivered a welcome speech and gave a keynote speech titled “Entrepreneurial Foresight: Looking at the Semiconductor Industry Cycle from the Analytical and Testing Segments”. He used the development and industrialization process of semiconductor analysis and testing as a starting point, combined with more than 20 years of industry experience, to share his judgment on the current situation of the semiconductor industry, such as “chip shortage”, “low-end chip homogenization, high-end chip scarcity”, and “industry segmentation”. He pointed out that since the second half of 2022, the semiconductor industry has undergone subtle market changes, and the era of “cost-effectiveness” has come. The semiconductor analysis and testing segment has strong anti-cyclical properties, and the Labless business concept will provide a new development path for high-tech innovative companies.

At the subsequent roundtable discussion, with a focus on innovation and future prospects, Professor Luo Feng from Nankai University, Chairman Li Xiaomin from Wintech Nano, Senior Engineer Niu Yingxi from the Institute of Semiconductors of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Senior Director of Business Development Zhu Xueyan from Thermo Fisher Scientific China, and Vice President of Public Relations Shao Hongwei from Wintech Nano discussed and exchanged ideas on topics such as multi-party cooperation in the field of semiconductor analysis and testing, the challenges faced by analysis and testing technology in response to the rapid development of the semiconductor industry, the development of high-end wafer preparation technology, and the shortage of talent in the semiconductor testing field. They shared their insights and thoughts on technology and industry from different perspectives and dimensions, providing professional, objective, and in-depth viewpoints and actively interacting with the audience to complete a wonderful journey of ideas.
